Academic Excellence Rooted in Christ

Where innovative teaching meets timeless faith, preparing students for success in school, life, and service to God

Our Approach to Learning

At Wyneken, we prepare students with 21st-century skills—collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity—all grounded in God's Word. Our experienced teachers use innovative methods to meet each child's individual needs while fostering a love for learning and service to God.

We frequently revise and evaluate our curriculum to make learning engaging and relevant. Most importantly, we share God's forgiveness and grace as each student learns in an environment that provides sound Christian teaching and promotes faithful service.

Faith Formation

Teachers weave biblical truth into every subject, from math story problems about serving others to science lessons about God's amazing creation. Weekly chapel services, daily whole school morning prayer, and service projects help students understand their identity as God's children.

Inquiry Learning

Our comprehensive literacy approach develops confident readers and writers through literature circles, independent reading, and engaging themed challenges like our Football Reading Program and Winter Olympics Challenge. Students engage in meaningful discussions about quality texts while setting ambitious reading goals and celebrating their progress. This same hands-on, inquiry-based approach extends across all subjects—from early elementary science investigations to middle school engineering projects—where students learn by asking questions, testing ideas, and solving real problems.

Academic Excellence

Our curriculum is rigorously aligned with Indiana Academic Standards while being regularly revised and evaluated to ensure effectiveness and engagement. Teachers use data-driven approaches to understand each student's unique needs, providing individualized instruction that meets learners where they are and challenges them to grow. From our youngest kindergarteners building foundational literacy and numeracy skills to our eighth graders preparing for high school success, we maintain high expectations while providing the support each child needs to achieve them. Our experienced educational team employs diverse teaching methods to ensure every student develops the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for lifelong learning.

The Warrior Way

Every classroom embodies our three pillars: Respect God, Respect Others, and Respect Learning. Teachers intentionally integrate these values throughout the day, celebrating students who demonstrate warrior character and helping all learners grow in faith and responsibility.
