Process

  1. Spend 3 - 4 classes browsing the following web sites.
  2. Answer these questions in your journal.
  3. Fill in name of stock and purchasing price (total not to exceed $10,000.00) in the Stock Market Portfolio. Once a week determine the value of your stocks and record on table.
  4. During this time use the Stock Market Simulation to track your investments.
  5. At the end of 4 weeks calculate your gains/losses and decide if you want to buy or sell.
  6. Use information to begin 2nd Stock Market Portfolio table. Repeat process until table is complete.
  7. After completing your 3rd Stock Market Portfolio graph your information and the projected outcome after nine years.
  8. Using the Prediction Calculator determine if your goal could be reached in 9 years at the average interest your investment is making.
  9. If not how many years at this interest would it take to reach your goal or at what interest rate would you have to have to reach your goal in 9 years.
