Dr. Seuss Day, March 7, 2003

In honor of the birthday of the great children's author, Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), our Wyneken School set aside this day for much reading, knowledge, and other forms of fun. The teachers also put on a play for Green Eggs and Ham, featuring Mr. Drier and Mr. Wass in the lead roles. Here are the results:

Lots of teachers eating lunch,
Wearing Seuss hats by the bunch.

Mr. Timm (left) and Mrs. Nichols facing this way.

Mrs. Schieferstein

An IU fan's worst nightmare: Mr. Wass looking very Purdue-ish.

Mrs. Martin (standing) and Mrs. Werling

Mrs. Schwartz-Schorey.

Brian, Derek, and Joey model our tie-dyed Dr. Seuss socks, worn on over 500 feet that Friday.

Ms. Klenke and Mr. Wass starting trouble with Megan.

Hi, Kevin.

Mrs. Fuhrmann

Conductor Mr. Schwantz prepares the choir as the faculty gets ready to sing in Green Eggs and Ham.

Mr. Drier as Bert ready to take on Sam (Mr. Wass)

I would not like them with a fox...

I will not eat them in the rain...

Say, I do SO like green eggs and ham!

Mrs. Schwantz honors our Accelerated Reader prize winners. Nick Reinking of 2nd grade earned the honor of "Nick Reinking Day", in which he gets to assist the Principal and choose the school lunch on Friday, March 28th.

Good job, Nick!!

The last event is the finals of the 7th-8th grade Jeopardy! championships, hosted by Mr. Drier.

The finalists: Lydia Dahling (the eventual champion), Jordan Buuck, Zach Schroeder, and Matt Gresley.
